Terms of service

Last updated 7 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Scout (askscout.co) on the website or on WhatsApp. By using Scout you agree to them. Scout is run by Mihir Jadhav (“we”).

What Scout does

Scout finds a product on Indian stores, reads their prices and offers, and works out what it would cost you with the card and membership names you give. Scout does not sell anything, take payments or place orders. You buy from the store you choose, on its own site, under its own terms.

Prices and offers

Prices, stock and offers are the stores' and change often, sometimes within minutes. Scout shows what it read at the time, says when it could not confirm something, and can be wrong. Always check the price, offer terms and seller on the store's own page before you buy. Scout is not responsible for a store's prices, products, delivery, returns or offers.

Links and commissions

Links to stores may earn Scout a commission from the store when you buy. This never changes your price or which store Scout shows as the best deal for you.

Using Scout fairly

We may limit or stop access for anyone who misuses Scout.

WhatsApp

Scout replies to the messages you send it. You can send STOP at any time to stop messages from Scout, and delete your saved details as set out in Deleting your data. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms.

No warranty

Scout is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it is complete, accurate or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of Scout, including from relying on a price or offer it showed.

Your data

How Scout handles your data is set out in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms; the new version is posted here with its date. Using Scout after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
